Colton Keenan – ALMFT

Colton Keenan is a Marriage and Family Therapist who earned a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University after several years working in the design industry. Before joining CFC, Colton provided therapy at a nonprofit behavioral health clinic, working with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship conflict, attachment concerns, and life transitions.

As a systemic therapist, Colton believes that many of the struggles people experience are shaped not only by the individual, but also by the relationships and environments in which they have lived. His approach focuses on understanding how the past continues to influence the present so clients can make intentional choices that align with the life they want to create.

Drawing from his background in design, Colton brings creativity, curiosity, and flexibility into the therapy room. He values building genuine, collaborative relationships where clients feel accepted, challenged, and understood.  In session, he focuses on what is happening in the moment, helping clients notice patterns that tend to repeat in their personal relationships and emotional responses outside of session.

At the heart of his work is the belief that people have an incredible capacity for growth. Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, recognize patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you, and it gives you space to intentionally grow into the person you want to become. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, questions of identity, or major life transitions, Colton strives to create a collaborative relationship where clients feel supported as they move toward a life worth loving.
